St. John Ambulance NS/PEI (SJA) is a local, independently operated, not-for-profit business – one of the 12 regional Councils that make up St. John Ambulance Canada. Recognized as Canada’s leader in their field, SJA strives to ensure that all residents in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island have access to the best quality training and information promoting awareness in first aid, mental health and wellness, opioid poisoning response, and psychosocial support.

SJA’s Community Service teams include our volunteer medical responders at local events, emergency response support and disaster relief, youth and senior education programs, and our beloved Therapy Dog teams, who provide mental health and wellness support for people of all ages.
